Books on Krishnamurti Paddhati

Hello,

Here is a list of books on Krishnamurti Paddhati (KP). These books talk  about KP only, means only a short treatment is given on the basics of Astrology (planets, house, signs and aspect etc.) ,usually authors assume that you are already familiar with these basics. Those who are totally novice to Astrology as a whole should read some Astrology primers. Don’t worry; I will be listing some good primers in due course of time.

This list is not exhaustive, as I know there are around 100 titles in English alone. But the list I am giving here would serve the purpose of understanding the concept and  principles of KP and get you going.

I would recommend you to start with C R Bhatt ’s two books, I believe these two boos are the best books on KP in English , (However Mr. Suresh Shahasane ‘s book is still the ‘Best Ever ‘ book written on KP in any language!, which is available in Marathi, Hindi and Guajarati , but unfortunately not in English).

The first book from Mr. C R Bhatt , that is Nakhstra Chintamani, explain the theory and second one, Future Lights On Nakshta Chintamani,  is exclusively on case studies. Unfortunately  these book are no longer in print, you have to search real hard to get these, prices varies (sometimes quite exorbitant!) but books are worth investing.

Krishnamurti had written 6 books, called KP readers, but my advice is not to start with it. First grasp the theory from C R Bhatt’s books and then later on add these readers to your library.

Astro secretes and Kirshnamurti Paddhati is a series, some six volumes are published so far. First 3 volumes are something that you might want to read, rest you may skip safely.

Sub lord Speaks is also a series of books, containing 3 volumes, author had proposed quite a controversial theory, (4 Step theory propounded by Mr. Sunil Gondhalekar is based on these articles), although I have mentioned this series in the list, I don’t recommend it, very confusing,  you might want to check them at a later date once you have gained enough experience or you may avoid it totally.

Another interesting family of books is from Mr. S P Khullar, he had proposed his own system of predication called as ‘Khullar Cuspal Interlink System KCIL”, though based on principles of KP, the treatment is rather different. This system needs highly accurate birth time in the tune of +/- 8 seconds which IMHO is next to impossible. The Birth chart rectification methods proposed by Mr. Khullar (this also based on KP principles) and other known methods in Vedic, Western Astrology etc are not consistent and reliable.  KCIL can be best used for Horary (query based) Astrology, wherein a chart is erected at the time of answering a query (birth chart is not used), when such a chart is erected, we have a choice of time and thus it can be set HH:MM:SS (milliseconds too if you want that accurate!), only the accuracy of your watch is the limit then. I found KCIL interesting, worth considering.Out of all KP books in English Khullar’s books are very well written, lucid language, logical explanation, step by step approach and highly polished case studies. Production quality is excellent, very professional , almost in line with international publications.

There is some interest in 4 Step theory propounded by Mr. Sunil Gondhalekar, as far I know there is not a single book in English on this theory though there are some in Marathi. I believe Mr. Sunil Gondhalekar, offers some notes in English. Any way, though 4 Step theory is claimed to be an extension to KP, it is not KP. Principles used in 4 Step theory are contradicting to KP, many veteran KP astrologers had raised concerns over this approach. However my experience with this system is satisfactory.

There are tons of books published by two sons of K S Krishnamurti, Mr. K Hariharan and Mr. K Subranabiam, mostly consisting of case studies and reprints from old articles from KSK’s magazine etc. I don’t recommend these books in the initial stages; these books might be useful when one start analyzing charts.

If you can read and understand Marathi then there are many excellent books written in Marathi by Jyotindra Hasabe and Suresh Shahasane. I will be publishing a list of Marathi books soon.
